Center Missions

The mission of the Center are to provide technical support to state and local agencies, as well as engineers who want to use TDA in their projects; and to support universities on their teaching related to the tire derived aggregates in civil engineering applications.


Definition of TDA - Tire Derived Aggregate

Based on the ASTM standard, the Tire Derived Aggregate (TDA) are pieces of scrap tires that have a basic geometrical shape and are generally between 12 and 305 mm in size and are intended for use in civil engineering applications.
